Wheelchair access & seating
California Plaza is a sunken plaza between two office towers, with upper and lower levels and amphitheater seating built into the site.
Audience capacity is around 7,000 across upper and lower plaza levels, including ~350 amphitheater seats and additional benches along the upper balcony.
California Plaza is used as a wheelchair-accessible event venue — the City of LA Department on Disability confirms this for the ReelAbilities Film Festival hosted here with Grand Performances.
Elevators and escalators link the underground parking and street levels up to the performance area.
Restrooms & on-site facilities
Public restrooms are available on California Plaza during events.
The plaza is surrounded by the Omni Los Angeles Hotel and office towers with ADA-compliant elevators and accessible facilities, supporting guests with mobility needs once at plaza level.
Service animals & pets
Service dogs are welcome at California Plaza.
Dogs, cats, and all other pets are not allowed at performances.
Per ADA: a service animal is a dog individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Animals whose sole function is emotional support do not qualify under ADA.

ASL, captioning, and audio description are confirmed for these events. Other shows may not include the same services unless announced.

Access to the companion
Access to the Grand Performances Companion can be challenging for guests with certain disabilities. Disabilities are unique. What works for one person may create friction for another. We have made significant efforts to accommodate as many audience members as is reasonable given our size, our resources, and our understanding of guest needs, and we work with accessibility practitioners to advise us as the product evolves.
Accessibility features. The companion provides methods, features, and policies to support access to live programming at California Plaza, our cultural journeys, and our content. Standard third-party browser aids are also supported.

As digital tools develop, we will keep modifying the companion to make access more seamless. Our progress depends on audience feedback, available resources, and the state of the technology. We welcome your suggestions.
