Land Acknowledgment
Grand Performances acknowledges that we gather on the ancestral and living homelands of Indigenous peoples — lands long cared for by the Tongva, Kizh, Tataviam, Serrano, and Chumash Peoples. We honor their elders and descendants past, present, and emerging, and we recognize their ongoing stewardship of these lands and waters.
We also acknowledge the enduring harms of colonization, including displacement and the disruption of cultural lifeways. We hold this acknowledgment as a responsibility, not a formality. In the spirit of truth, healing, and reconciliation, we commit to elevating Indigenous stories, culture, and community, and to deepening our relationships with Native peoples and local tribal communities.
